Hurricanes' Eddie Lack: Stretchered off ice Monday

Lack was stretchered off the ice at the conclusion of Monday's game against the Red Wings.

Analysis:

The netminder was injured on the game-winning overtime goal in a collision with Andreas Athanasiou. The goal was reviewed and upheld, thus handing the Canes the loss. It's not clear yet what type of injury Lack is dealing with since no update was provided by the team after the game, but the good news is that he was seen giving a thumbs-up while being stretchered off the ice. At this point, it's safe to say he won't be between the pipes Tuesday against the same Red Wings squad, with his status going forward uncertain for now.
