Sabres' Robin Lehner: Gets starting nod Monday

Lehner will tend the twine against the Panthers on Monday.

Analysis:

Lehner appears to have stepped up his game of late, as he has posted a 2-1-0 record with a .942 save percentage in his last three outings -- well above his season numbers of 21-23-8 and .922. The Sabres are third-worst in the league on the penalty kill -- 77.2 percent -- so it could be a tough matchup for the netminder if his teammates can't stay out of the box. The Panthers have scored seven goals twice in their past seven games, so despite a mediocre blue line their offense has remained just as potent. The Sabres defense will have most of their regulars in the lineup, but will be without top defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen due to a suspension, which means keeping Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau in check is going to be a huge challenge.
