Islanders' Ryan Strome: Surgery not needed, still out 3-6 weeks

Strome will not require surgery for his broken wrist, though he's still expected to miss 3-to-6 weeks of action, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

The Isles have serious work to do in order to make it to the postseason, though avoiding surgery means the skilled forward could be ready if the team does happen to pull of the improbable and wind up in the playoffs.
