Devils' Keith Kinkaid: Makes 26 stops in road loss

Kinkaid made 26 saves on 29 shots during Thursday's 4-2 loss in Toronto.

Analysis:

The Leafs came in as clearly the better team on paper, and while the Devils took an early lead, a predictable course correction took place thereafter. Still, Kinkaid kept it close with a bevy of talented scorers on the other side, so this was a fairly credible performance despite the modest stat line. Unfortunately, it's also his third straight appearance with a sub-.900 save percentage, which won't help Kinkaid's case for starts as the Devils play out the string in this lost season.
