Senators' Marc Methot: Suffers finger injury Thursday

Methot suffered a laceration to his left hand during Thursday's game against the Penguins and will not finish the game.

Analysis:

While it's officially a hand laceration, the reality is a bit more gruesome -- Methot was slashed early in the game and part of his finger was separated from his hand. Ouch. It's unclear how long the 31-year-old will have to remain sidelined, but knowing that he's a hockey player, he could be back sooner than you'd think.
