Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Making progress from injury

Malkin (upper body) returned to practice Saturday but didn't skate on the power play, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Analysis:

The center missed Friday's game after getting hit on the shoulder with a slap shot Monday while blocking a shot. While it's a great sign Malkin took to the ice Saturday, he might not play until he assumes his regular spot on the power play.
