Penguins' Patric Hornqvist: Ruled out Wednesday

Hornqvist (concussion) remains sidelined against Philadelphia on Wednesday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis:

While he isn't ready to play quite yet, fantasy owners should be encouraged by the fact that Hornqvist traveled with the team and was able to take the ice as part of the game-day skate, albeit in a non-contact jersey. Given the recent performances of Jake Guentzel and Conor Sheary, Hornqvist may not get the opportunity to suit up alongside Sid the Kid once he's cleared to return, although a second-line role centered by Evgeni Malkin is certainly still a plum assignment. The winger's next opportunity to return to action will be Friday versus the Devils.
