Wild's Devan Dubnyk: Sent to loss column by Holtby, Caps
Dubnyk was beaten four times on 40 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss at Washington.
Analysis:
He was burned by late-period goals in this one -- Nate Schmidt broke through against Dubnyk with 12 seconds left in the first period, followed by two goals in the last five-plus minutes of the second frame and then another one inside six minutes remaining in the third. That's got to be demoralizing, especially against a league-leading team like the Caps. Meanwhile, Washington goalie Braden Holtby continues gaining on Dubnyk in terms of consideration for the Vezina Trophy.
