History has not been made.

After scoring in a record-tying 19 straight Ontario Hockey League games, Chicago Blackhawks prospect Alex DeBrincat didn't register a goal in Sunday's 7-0 win for his Erie Otters.

His point streak, however, lives on.

DeBrincat, then, will stand equal with former NHL forward Mike Ricci, who originally set the record back in 1988-89.

For the season, DeBrincat - who leads the OHL in goals and points - has scored 62 goals to go along with 59 assists in 59 games. Over the course of his junior career, he's sitting on 164 goals and 162 assists in 187 games.

Not bad for a player selected 39th overall in 2016.
