Hurricanes' Eddie Lack: Drops 3-1 decision to Avalanche

Lack allowed two goals on 24 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Analysis:

Making his second consecutive start following a strong outing against the Coyotes on Sunday, Lack was solid until late in the second period when he allowed a pair of goals less than a minute apart. This quickly turned a 1-0 lead into a 2-1 score, a deficit from which the 'Canes would not recover. Overall, Lack has responded well since being called out last week by coach Bill Peters for his poor play this season; however, he should still be considered the No. 2 guy in the Canes' crease right now behind veteran starter Cam Ward.
