Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Will hot stretch continue?

Malkin scored three goals and five points at PPG Paints Arena over the weekend, giving him a league-leading 46 points (16G, 30A) in 31 home games.

Analysis:

His overall 1.18 point-per-game mark ranks second in the NHL behind Sidney Crosby (1.19) and ahead of Connor McDavid (1.14). It will be interesting to see whether Malkin's streak carries over to the team's upcoming five-game road trip. The Russian has scored 21 points in 26 road contests, which are strong numbers but not quite the dominant ones he showcases at home.
