Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Caught in major rut

Larkin hasn't found the scoresheet in the past seven games.

Analysis:

Larkin has been playing bottom-six minutes, which curtails his fantasy production to a large degree. With the trade deadline looming and the Wings well out of the playoff picture, GM Ken Holland is reportedly expected to deal second-line scoring veteran Thomas Vanek -- he would be a rental player for teams as an unrestricted free agent this summer -- and that could result in a higher depth chart position for Larkin, who is exempt from exposure in the expansion draft.
