Canucks' Chris Tanev: Showing mumps symptoms

Tanev did not practice Friday after showing symptoms of mumps, but still may be able to play Saturday's game against the Sharks, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 reports.

Analysis:

Tanev is one of five players to be displaying mumps symptoms, albeit the only one who has not been completely ruled out for Saturday's contest. The Canucks lineup is already in disarray as a result of this mumps outbreak in addition to other previous injuries, so the team will be hoping that at least Tanev will be able to go.
