Canucks' Markus Granlund: Diagnosed with mumps

Granlund has been diagnosed with mumps and won't play Saturday against the Sharks, Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040 reports.

Analysis:

Five different Canucks players have been diagnosed with mumps, and at this point it isn't clear how long Granlund or any of the other ailing skaters will be sidelined due to the illness. However, Granlund's owners shouldn't have too much trouble finding a suitable replacement for the 23-year-old pivot's production, as he's only tallied 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists) in 60 games this season.
