Blue Jackets' Lukas Sedlak: Moves to IR

Sedlak (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.

Analysis:

Sedlak is a well-rounded rookie who had been modestly deployed on special teams. His 12 points (six goals, six helpers) in 55 games might not seem like much until you consider that he's managed that level of production despite averaging a mere 9:32 of ice time in a bottom-six role. Look for William Karlsson and Sam Gagner to continue manning the center position on the lower lines with Sedlak unavailable.
