Islanders' Brock Nelson: Awakening from slump

Nelson handed out a pair of assists in Thursday's 3-0 win over Montreal.

Analysis:

One came on an empty-netter, but Nelson will certainly take it, as this marks Nelson's first multi-point effort since Feb. 6 against the Leafs; he managed just two points over eight games in between. Even so, with 22 games left on the schedule, Nelson needs only eight points to match his career-high 42, set two seasons ago.
