Capitals' Aaron Ness: Promoted to big club

The Capitals recalled Ness from AHL Hershey on Thursday.

Analysis:

Defensemen Brooks Orpik (undisclosed) and Matt Niskanen (lower body) are both questionable for Friday's game against Edmonton, so if they're unable to go, Ness will likely draw into the lineup against the Oilers.
