Predators' P.K. Subban: Huge effort Tuesday
Subban recorded a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating Tuesday in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Flames.
Analysis:
Subban rifled a shot from the point to tie the game at one goal apiece in the first period, with the play prompting a review by the officials for possible goalie interference on the part of Preds winger Kevin Fiala. The tally ended up staying on the board to snap a 17-game scoreless drought for the mobile defenseman, who is surging with four two-points efforts -- including one goal and eight assists -- in the last six games. Subban's first year in Smashville has been filled with peaks and valleys, with the low point being a month-long absence that wiped 16 games from his schedule (Dec. 17 - Jan. 19). There certainly are more consistent options than Subban, but you won't want to pivot away from him when he's on this kind of hot streak.
