Capitals' Zachary Sanford: Brought up to big club

Sanford was recalled from AHL Hershey on Friday.

Analysis:

The burly winger has contributed 16 points (11 goals, five assists) in 25 games with the Bears this season, but he's being eased into the NHL as a rookie. Coupled with the call-up of prospect Jakub Vrana, the Caps are shoring up their depth in the wake of a hand injury to established forward Andre Burakovsky, who's going to be out until mid-March at the earliest.
