Panthers' Roberto Luongo: Downed by Jets in shootout Thursday

Luongo gave up three goals on 32 shots and came out on the losing end of a six-round shootout against the Jets on Thursday.

Analysis:

Wins have been tough to come by for Luongo lately, but it's not like he's been playing well enough to deserve them -- he's dropped five of his last six starts, giving up 20 goals and posting an .885 save percentage in that span. Backup James Reimer has struggled to this point, resulting in the 37-year-old Luongo starting practically day in and day out; that's not a sustainable situation for the oldest goalie in the league. The Panthers need to get him some rest so he can perform at his best.
