Kings' Jonathan Quick: Return date pushed back to March

Quick (groin) will not return until March, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

This adjusted return timetable was provided by Kings President and GM Dean Lombardi, who added that he's not about to "throw the kitchen sink" at the issue of Quick expecting to be sidelined longer than the original three-month estimate. While the Kings still have work to do, as they're currently in fifth place in the Pacific Division, interim No. 1 goalie Peter Budaj has been a pleasant surprise with a 13-7-2 record and 2.27 GAA, so that helps explain why the kitchen sink will stay where it belongs in LA.
