Avalanche's Calvin Pickard: Suffers lopsided loss to Canadiens

Pickard allowed four goals in a loss to the Avalanche on Saturday.

Analysis:

He started and yielded three scores in the first 7:12 of the game, which chased Pickard from the net. He returned, though, after Semyon Varlamov allowed six goals over 32:48. Pickard gave up another goal in the third period, but his return actually helped him lower his GAA. Still, it was not good as he stopped just 16 of 20 shots and allowed four goals in 27:12. This loss drops Pickard to 5-3-1 this season.
