Lightning's Ryan Callahan: Doubtful to play Saturday

Callahan (lower body) is considered doubtful ahead of Saturday's contest with the Penguins, Lightning Insider reports.

Analysis:

While Callahan has reportedly been pushing for a return all week, the Tampa Bay training staff is wary of pushing him back into action at the risk of a long-term injury, so it's looking more probable than not that he'll sit on Saturday. If he does miss Saturday's game, the 31-year-old will have four days to rest up before the Lightning's next game in Calgary, so he could very well be cleared by then.
