Panthers' Roberto Luongo: Falls to Penguins 5-1

Luongo gave up four goals on 29 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Penguins on Thursday. The fifth was an empty-netter.

Analysis:

Bobby Lu has now allowed 10 goals across a three-game losing streak after giving up just three combined in the previous three outings. His ratios (.923 save percentage, 2.25 GAA) are still above average and serviceable for fantasy purposes, but the fact that he's stuck on nine wins in 19 appearances is a little disconcerting -- especially with the Panthers having just fired head coach Gerard Gallant and playing without Jonathan Huberdeau and Jonathan Marchessault (both lower body). Legitimate concerns aside, Luongo is a veteran workhorse with a proven track record of success, so owners should ride out the storm while he gets back on track.
