Ducks' John Gibson: Between pipes Wednesday

Gibson will defend the cage against the Hurricanes on Wednesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Gibson has been getting the bulk of the starts again after splitting the month of November with backup Jonathan Bernier. However, he's managed only an 8-7-4 record with pedestrian ratios (2.45 GAA, .915 save percentage). The young netminder does, however, have a favorable matchup against the 'Canes, who are 26th in the league in goals per game at 2.28.
