Devils' Keith Kinkaid: Designated as Friday's starter

Kinkaid will defend the cage in a home start against the Blues on Friday night, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Kinkaid is scheduled for work in the last home game before the Devils jump out on a four-game road stretch. As New Jersey's backup goalie, he's only made six starts compared to 19 for No. 1 netminder Cory Schneider, but that's to be expected. Kinkaid carries a 3-1-2 record and .928 save percentage into the next contest -- respectable figures for a No. 2 netminder.
