Red Wings' Brian Lashoff: Makes first appearance of season

Lashoff made his season debut Sunday in an eventual 4-3 overtime win over the Islanders. He was held off the scoresheet and skated to a minus-1 rating with one hit in 15:31 of ice time, including just over two minutes on the penalty kill.

Analysis:

Lashoff was afforded an opportunity with the parent club due to injuries to fellow defensemen Brendan Smith (knee) and Alexey Marchenko (upper body). Unfortunately, he's going to be overlooked in the majority of fantasy settings, as his playing time is strictly tied to the health of more established players from the back line.
