Capitals' Jakub Vrana: Will make NHL debut on second line

Vrana will make his NHL debut alongside Andre Burakovsky and Evgeny Kuznetsov on the Caps' second line Thursday against the Islanders, Mike Vogel of Monumental Network reports.

Analysis:

The 20-year-old winger will get his first taste of regular season NHL action due to the ongoing injury to T.J. Oshie (shoulder). The speedy winger is slated to play on a potent second unit that could be the future of Washington's offensive attack. With nine goals and 16 points in 18 games with AHL Hershey, the Czech national has plenty of offensive upside, but his stay with the Capitals could be brief if Oshie returns in the near future. Fantasy owners are advised to keep an eye on Vrana's ice time and production -- although he may be worth a look in daily formats against a road-weary Islanders team that just played Wednesday.
