Rangers' Michael Grabner: Active for Tuesday's game with Hurricanes

Grabner (illness) took the ice for pregame warm-ups and will play Tuesday against the Hurricanes, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Grabner's status was uncertain after he was reportedly feeling under the weather Tuesday morning, but it appears the right winger is a go for the home matchup, as he's slated to skate on the third line with J.T. Miller and Jesper Fast. After notching only 18 points in 80 games for the Leafs in 2015-16, Grabner is firing on all cylinders during the current campaign, tallying 12 goals and four assists along with a career-best 22.2 shooting percentage. He'll look to continue to produce as he faces a Hurricanes defense that ranks 18th in goals allowed per game (2.62).
