Turris keeps scoring for Sens, and they need him to continue

Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports

Kyle Turris keeps finding the back of the net.

The Ottawa Senators forward netted his 10th of the season in a 2-1 win Saturday against Carolina - his second game-winner against the Hurricanes in November.

Turris' 10 goals are double the next-highest Senator, and the longest he's gone without scoring is two games. His 13 points are second on the club to some guy named Erik Karlsson.

Ottawa's struggling to score goals, so Turris' consistent play through the first quarter of the season has been crucial.

The 27-year-old struggled in 2015-16, scoring only 13 goals and finishing with 30 points in 57 games - a down season. He bagged 26 in 2013-14 and 24 in 2014-15.
