Ducks' Jonathan Bernier: Falls in shootout Tuesday

Bernier made 33 saves on 35 shots, but lost 3-2 in the shootout to the Islanders on Tuesday.

Analysis:

Despite having just three wins in eight appearances behind starter John Gibson this season, Bernier has done more than his fair share with an impressive .935 save percentage and 2.02 GAA. He's actually played in four of the Ducks' last six games, so perhaps his strong play will earn him additional crease time -- especially since Gibson has allowed 11 goals in his last three starts.
