Senators' Bobby Ryan: Out Saturday with broken finger

Ryan won't play Saturday due to a broken finger he sustained in Thursday's game against Nashville, Postmedia's Bruce Garrioch reports.

Analysis:

Ryan is off to a slow start this season, having tallied just six points in 17 games after posting 56 points in 81 games last season, and to make matters worse will now be sidelined for the foreseeable future with the third broken finger he's sustained in the last three years. It isn't clear how the Senators' lines will shake out in Ryan's absence, but Mark Stone may get the first crack at replacing the 29-year-old winger on Ottawa's top line.
