Ducks' Logan Shaw: Traded to Ducks on Wednesday

The Panthers traded Shaw to the Ducks in exchange for Michael Sgarbossa on Wednesday.

Analysis:

After playing in 53 games for the Panthers in his rookie season last year, Shaw began 2016-17 with AHL Springfield, where he's tallied six points through 13 games. Sgarbossa appears to be an evenly matched trading piece, as he produced 44 points for AHL San Diego last season, but has yet to have a significant impact at the NHL level. It remains to be seen whether the Ducks will keep the 24-year-old right winger with the big club or send him down to their minor league affiliate.
