Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Defending cage against Coyotes

Hellebuyck will be in the blue paint for Thursday's matchup with Arizona, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Analysis:

Hellebuyck seems to have the inside track on the starting job in Winnipeg, but unless he can improve upon his 2.91 GAA and 4-4-0 record, coach Paul Maurice will likely continue to split time between the 23-year-old and fellow netminder Michael Hutchinson. The Coyotes are averaging just 28.3 shots per game, 24th in the league, which mean Hellebuyck could face a light workload Thursday.
