O'Reilly is suffering from an upper-body injury that leaves him day-to-day, Bill Hoppe of the Times Herald reports.

Analysis:

It appears O'Reilly has avoided a major issue and can't be ruled out for Friday's tilt against New Jersey. The team should continue to update his status as the contest draws closer, but Sam Reinhart replaced him as the top-line center Wednesday and would likely be the top candidate to do so again Friday should O'Reilly be unavailable once again.
