Maple Leafs' Nazem Kadri: NHL looking at hit

Kadri's hit on Vancouver's Daniel Sedin during Saturday night's game has been reviewed by the NHL's Department of Player Safety and they will weigh in on the incident within 24 hours, reports John Shannon of SportsNet.

Analysis:

Kadri blindsided Sedin, whose helmet came off just before his head bounced off the ice. Sedin returned to action following the incident, but that shouldn't factor into any discipline handed out. The Department of Player Safety is familiar with Kadri, who was bounced for four games last season after a questionable check on Detroit's Luke Glendening.
