Bruins' David Pastrnak: Slapped with two-game suspension

Pastrnak has been suspended for two games for delivering an illegal check to the head of Rangers defenseman Dan Girardi on Wednesday.

Analysis:

This means there will be no Pasta for Saturday's game against the Red Wings, as well as a Nov. 1 clash with the Panthers. Even though Pastrnak will only miss a pair of games, it's a significant loss since he's a man-advantage weapon who's already posted eight points (five goals, three assists) through seven contests. Expect the Bruins to jumble the lines ahead of the next contest to accommodate Pastrnak's absence -- he had been on the top-line right wing opposite Brad Marchand and with the Selkey-smooth Patrice Bergeron at center.
