Sabres' Linus Ullmark: Called up from minors

Ullmark was recalled from AHL Rochester on Monday.

Analysis:

Ullmark will slot into the backup role for the Sabres with Robin Lehner (illness) out of the lineup. Barring a lengthy ailment, it is unlikely Ullmark will spend too much time away from Rochester where he has posted a 3-1-0 record with a .926 save percentage. Long term, the 23-year-old could challenge Lehner for the starting role, but at least for this season, will primarily feature in the AHL.
