Rangers' Pavel Buchnevich: Headed to IR

Buchnevich (back) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Buchnevich was unable to suit up for the last two games and so will head to IR to get healthy. He looked solid in his first two NHL appearances, logging an assist to go with a plus-1 rating in an average of 14:52 ice time. He has lots of potential once he returns to the lineup, but in the meantime look for Michael Grabner to pick up some of the slack.
