Capitals' Brett Connolly: Taking a seat Saturday

Connolly will be a healthy scratch for Saturday's home game against the Rangers, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Zach Sanford reportedly will take his spot on the third line. Connolly, at times, appeared on the top line with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand as a member of the Bruins last season, though the Capitals have used him less frequently in comparison, hence how he's averaged 11:05 of ice time in two games and is being sent to the pine again Saturday.
