Blue Jackets' Cody Goloubef: Clears waivers, heading to AHL Cleveland

Goloubef will be sent to AHL Cleveland having cleared waivers Friday, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.

Analysis:

Goloubef is known as a smart, well-rounded defenseman, but he has yet to pin down a full-time role in the NHL. Returning to the minors is great for his development, as he's bound to see much more ice time than he would as a spare part for the parent club.
