Kings' Peter Budaj: Tending twine against Dallas
Budaj will make his first start of the season Thursday against the Stars, Sean Shapiro of NHL.com reports.
Analysis:
Budaj made just one appearance for the Kings last season and gets the starting nod after coming on in relief of Jeff Zatkoff on Tuesday. While with AHL Ontario for the 2015-16 campaign, Budaj posted a career-best 1.75 GAA on his way to a 42-14-4 record. Unfortunately for the Kings, they are effectively stuck with two veteran backups until Jonathan Quick (groin) returns.
