Penguins' Nick Bonino: Looking for better production

Bonino is off to a slow start with one assist through the first four games of the season.

Analysis:

The Penguins have done their part by putting him in position to succeed, placing him on the top power-play unit with Sidney Crosby (concussion) sidelined. Bonino's compiled the team's fourth-highest ice time (13:02) on the man advantage, but hasn't capitalized. He closed out 2015-16 with five goals and 16 points in his last 13 regular-season games, then followed up with a strong postseason run. It's possible that he's still hampered by a preseason foot injury or he's thinking about his next contract (he'll be an unrestricted free agent after the season). Whatever the case may be, he's off to a slow start.
