Maple Leafs' Martin Marincin: Posts minus-2 in loss to Jets

Analysis:

Marincin logged a season-high 24:47 of ice time while registering five shots and three blocked shots. He's been inserted into a top-pairing role alongside Morgan Rielly of late, but the assignment might be above Marincin's capabilities. The 24-year-old defenseman is better suited for a bottom-pairing role in which he gets to face weaker opposing players. Playing against the opposition's best scorers would lead to a long season for Marincin -- and probably a fantasy-team-crippling plus-minus. He's also unlikely to generate enough offensive production to help fantasy owners.
