Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Expected to play Thursday

Schwartz (elbow) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, skating on a line with Alexander Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko, and is expected to return Thursday against Edmonton, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Analysis:

Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock referred to Schwartz as a "full-time employee" Wednesday. If he does return, Schwartz will be back well ahead of schedule, which should thrill fantasy owners who've been frustrated by his recent spate of injuries -- he played just 33 games last season.
