Kings' Kyle Clifford: Healthy scratch Tuesday

Clifford was a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against Minnesota, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Analysis:

The tough winger racked up 11 hits and a pair of penalty minutes in the Kings' first two games, but coach Darryl Sutter seemingly wanted a more offense-oriented look, as he inserted Nic Dowd into the lineup in Clifford's place. Those who own the 25-year-old for his hits and PIM in fantasy are used to the occasional healthy scratch, though, and with the Kings having been downed 6-3 in this game (with Dowd going minus-2), Clifford could be back in the lineup soon.
