Senators' Tom Pyatt: Excels in win over Coyotes

Pyatt scored an unassisted goal, added a shorthanded assist and went plus-4 in Tuesday's 7-4 win over Arizona.

Analysis:

His goal was mostly a matter of being in the right place at the right time, as Pyatt picked up a loose puck and simply backhanded it past Coyotes netminder Mike Smith. Nothing more than a depth player previously in his NHL career, Pyatt stunningly spent 19:17 on the ice Tuesday and has averaged a career-high 15:43 through four games this season, picking up three points in the process. Still, it's best to keep expectations moderate for the 29-year-old in his return to North American hockey after two solid years spent in Switzerland.
