Devils' Taylor Hall: Lifts team to win column with two power-play tallies

Hall scored two power-play goals just 4:11 apart in the second period Tuesday against Anaheim, carrying the Devils to their first win of the season by a 2-1 score.

Analysis:

The offseason addition of Hall hadn't provided the Devils with the offensive jump they were looking for through the first two games, but they sure got what they needed from him this time around. Jersey's offense has remained subpar thus far, but Hall's strong game offers plentiful promise moving forward. If he can stay healthy -- as he did last year, playing 82 games for the first time -- Hall should produce plenty of points; the Devils' depth scoring is another issue entirely.
