Varlamov stopped 23 of 28 shots in Saturday's win over the Stars.

Analysis:

While getting the victory was a good way to start the season, it wasn't a great night for the Russian, who was burned for five goals. Varlamov should see another heavy workload this season, but Colorado still has a questionable defense in place, so don't expect fantastic rate stats.
