Bruins' Patrice Bergeron: Ruled out Saturday
Bergeron (lower body) will not play Saturday night in Toronto for a game against the Maple Leafs, Joe Haggery of CSNNE reports.
Analysis:
The Bruins insist that Bergeron's injury is "short term," and he's officially day-to-day. In the team's season-opening road win over the Blue Jackets on Thursday, Brad Marchand carried the team with an eye-popping five-point effort, and newcomer David Backes added one goal and a pair of helpers, proving that there are plenty of weapons capable of stepping up in Bergeron's absence.
